May is full of new beginnings. The Member Showcase
features another set of creative quilts, this time by Jane
Eyes. Three members joined the group this April; the
Quilt Show success is celebrated; and Membership
Registration starts.
Please notice that the form is in this newsletter, on the website, and will
also be available at the Membership table this month for
you to join the Guild for 2008-2009. The format is nearly
the same as last year, with several changes. Note the
box to be checked if all address items remain the same.
This will assist us with data entry. Be sure to pay close
attention to the wording for the choice of online vs. mail
for the newsletter. Select Committees and Activities in
which you plan to participate. Choose the one Special
Interest Group session you will most likely attend so we
can get a general count for meeting spaces. During the
year, you may explore any of the categories. Note if you
are able to lead a group, or demonstrate a technique.
Take care to sign the form.
Last year we had a “lucky draw” for all those whose
completed registrations were received prior to our first
meeting in September. We will continue that tradition by
providing four certificates for area quilt shops, each for
$25. All members will be eligible for winning a certificate
if their Membership Registration form is on file before
September 16. Four lucky ladies will have a shopping
opportunity by merely registering! It is especially helpful
for us to complete this process over the summer in order
to enter data and create information for the new Board.
Thank you for helping us.
In June we look forward to Linda Schoenfeld as our
Member Showcase. Her display will be a welcome
feature of our Salad Supper. Thanks Linda.
And thank you to everyone for a most productive year!
