Here is a video from 2007!

Thank you Matt Vanacoro, for the Great Video!

2008 Raffle Quilt is just around the corner and we can hardly quiltwait to see who will win the Raffle Quilt this year! At this time Laura, Cathy and I would again like to thank all the NSQG members who contributed to this year’s quilt by completing one or more of the blocks. They are: Carolyn Langevin, Rosemary Mahoney, Suzanne Sunday, Linda Ostrander, Carolyn Salon, Mary Cannizzaro, Carrie Vollrath, Linda Gidos, Maria Weinstein, Rene Bracken, Karen Strang, Caryl Castellion, Mary Gall, Jeri Riggs, Joan Citron, Jane Eyes, Kim Hyde, Maxine Oliver, Connie Weiss, Sonia Rieber, Pat Baker, Ann Fitzell, Pat Lightner, Joan Doggett, Micki Tedeschi, Amy Trompetter, Carol Auer, Linda Schulz, Lois Lober, Mary Gall, Christine Wolle, Marsha Henderson, Patricia Loquet, Althea Nolan, Maggie Kolvenbach, Cathie Billings, Barbara Howard, Marie Pedlow, Lorraine Mioducki, Carole Hoffman, Kathy Kaplan, Karen Abramson, Lynnette Clemens, Betty Buccino, Terri Jannelli, and Meg Mooar.

We would also like to thank Susan Wilterding for the time and energy that she spent researching fabrics, sharing fabric from her own Asian stash and consulting with us on design issues.

We thank Pat Baker and the Comfort Quilters for generously inviting us to ‘shop’ in their stash – a perfect example of ‘the more you give, the more you receive’. And last but not least, thank you to Jane Davila and Mary Gay Leahy at The Country Quilter for their technical assistance.

It goes without saying that our Raffle Quilt was a labor of love and we are very appreciative of everyone’s time and effort. As many of you know, the recipient of this year’s Raffle Quilt proceeds is Jess Because, Inc. which is a wonderful organization that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to experience art that they create without rigid prescriptions; in many ways it is not so different from our own Art Quilt movement. What makes this organization so very special to Laura, Cathy and me is the fact that Laura’s son Seth, Cathy’s daughter Jessica (she’s the Jess in Jess Because) and my son Scott all participate in a variety of the classes that are offered – music, drama, dance and art; these classes give each of them a chance to use artistic expression to continue lifelong learning.

So, with that in mind, we ask for your support by selling as many raffle tickets as you can – and you might just win that great quilt!!
