Her repertoire spans collage\, paper piecing\, story quilts\, memory quilts\, appliqué\, crazy patch\, thread painting\, free motion designs\, whole cloth trapunto\, improv designs\, and fiber art and mixed media — a testament to her belief that creativity has no boundaries. \nHer dedication to the craft has earned her numerous professional awards\, honors she attributes directly to the transformative power of creative quilting. In recent years\, Stacey has channeled that creativity into designing and selling her own original patterns\, making her artistic vision accessible to quilters everywhere.

After studying fashion design and spending a short time in the industry\, I took a detour and worked as a bookkeeper for 15 years. Later\, I married\, moved to the suburbs\, and raised two children as a stay-at-home mom. Eventually\, I found my way back to sewing and discovered art quilting. Before long that creative spark grew into a passion which led to teaching. Since then\, I’ve won about 50 awards\, including a Judge’s Choice\, a sewing machine\, and cash prizes. My work has been published twice\, and in November 2025\, I had a one-woman show at the prestigious Dwight Englewood School. Today\, I work and teach at The Quilt Tree in Nyack\, New York\, one of the few remaining quilt shops in the region.
