Throughout the year, various members step up and sponsor some fun and educational activities!
Rather than engage a professional speaker, we tap into the deep expertise within our own Guild and arrange for members to demonstrate their special skills or techniques at a couple of our meetings. Our guild meeting programs represent a great opportunity to share our knowledge and talents with others while getting to know one another better.
Special one to two hour Zoom Pop-Up Tutorials where members can share techniques or join in short sewing projects are always a big hit. Offer some new technique you just learned or share a skill such as fabric painting, borders, binding, machine and hand applique, hand embroidery ….
We sponsor a yearly quilt challenge, special interest groups (SIGs), a Super Saturday sewing day, ad hoc activities, and quilting related trips and are always looking for someone to coordinate one of these activities.
