Got orphan blocks? Bring them to Patricia Loquet.  She’ll be turning them into packs to be distributed to make into beautiful Comfort Quilts.

Lecture – Unlock Your Creative Potential

Clara Nartey, a self-taught artist, was born in Accra, Ghana and came to the U.S. for her master’s degree. She then developed her unique artistic style which meshes mark-making using threads, with digital painting, machine embroidery, and quilting.

Nartey’s bold, colorful, and textured works have been exhibited widely including at Heather Gaudio Fine Art, Carnegie Center for Art and History, and Morris Museum.

Her work is in both private and institutional collections. She’s also been featured in publications like Contemporary Art Issue, Artforum, and Create Magazine!



Business meeting generally starts at 6pm, arrive earlier for sign-in, refreshments and socializing, with any lecture generally at 7pm.
Guests are always welcome, there is a guest fee, $10, which can be credited toward membership – click HERE for more information.

Our Hospitality team provides coffee and tea along with some cookies at guild meetings.
Please bring your own mug or water bottle.
Member contributions of home-baked treats or other simple snacks are always welcome!
