We ask guild members to sponsor some fun and educational activities throughout the year.
Our member activities are a great opportunity to share knowledge and talents while getting to know one another better.

  • WINNERS CHOICE QUILT DISPLAY & RAFFLE (October meeting)
    Comfort Quilters display the results of this year’s summer quilting project and raffle off one or more of the quilts, you get to choose. Coordinated by Comfort Quilters.
  • FALL QUILTING RETREAT (November)
    Sew for days with friends at the Center at Mariandale.  Coordinator is Jody Sullivan.
  • HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE (November meeting)
    Back by popular demand is our member-to-member holiday boutique.  Items handmade by members may be sold at this event.  There will be a charge of $10 per half table.  If you are interested in vending at the Holiday Boutique, please email me with the type of item that you wish to sell.  Coordinator is Rona Spar.
  • SUPER SATURDAY (January)
    Excitement is growing for this year’s Super Saturday.  Classes will be announced and available for signup at the fall meetings and online.  The cost including lunch is $30.   Coordinator is Lefa Alksne or Lori Light Schmiedel.
  • SPRING QUILTING RETREAT (March)
    Sew for days with friends at the Center at Mariandale.  Coordinator is Jody Sullivan.
  • CHALLENGE (March/April meeting)
    This year’s challenge is a Crayon/Season Table Runner. You will pick your color and season at the September meeting or contact Maria.  Review parameters on the website, due date is the March meeting, voting display is April.   Coordinator is Maria Calderon Weinstein.
  • UGLY FABRIC AUCTION (May meeting)
    Bring your ‘Ugly Fabrics’ to Guild and Comfort Quilts meetings, September thru April.  Coordinator  is Liz Titus.

We at Northern Star are a creative bunch.  Every year that creativity is put to the test with a new Challenge offered to members.  Get in on the fun!

Super Saturday

Guild members get together to mingle for a fun and productive Saturday, taking a class by other members on various techniques and projects.

Pop-Up Events

One-off activities allowing members to meet up (In-person or via Zoom-assistance can be provided) to share their love of quilting in some way.
